As a bride-to-be you deserve to look and feel beautiful on your wedding day. At The Bridal Salon, we help turn your wedding gown search into a memorable and beautiful experience.

A well-established bridal business on Water Street in downtown St. John’s, The Bridal Salon was established in 1989 and has a long history of friendly customer service. We offer a selection of competitively-priced bridal, bridesmaid, mother-of-the-bride, and graduation gowns.

Our goal is to focus on the customer and her personal style offering a collaborative partnership to achieve their best look as a reflection of our products and services. Our objective is to make every experience at our store an enjoyable one, thus customer service is our top priority.

Tilly Vatcher, Owner/ Operator

Tilly is the former operator of Veils for Vows where she designed and created headpieces and veils to accent a bride’s gown, customizing that special look for her wedding day. She is also well-known as a fundraiser and event planner in the charitable sector. Tilly is not only passionate about her community but she is also very passionate about offering professional yet personalized service to each client. She enjoys working with clients to assist them in finding a dress that best fits the body shape and personal style.

Joining Tilly in the business are her children, Victoria and Tyler. She is encouraged by her teenage children interest in learning business enterprise. In her own youth she was fortunate to have had the opportunity to work alongside her own parents learning firsthand the values associated with business. As a family working together, we are able to provide a fun, easy going atmosphere while providing the best possible service to fulfill every need.

Tilly is proud to introduce you to her team; each consultant is here for you to ensure customer service is at its best and offered to you in a professional Newfoundland downhome style because “It’s all about you and your style”.

Ordering Your Gown – Store Procedures

Payment: When you place your order you will need to pay a minimum of 50% down and then monthly payments will be arranged to clear the balance before your first fitting. NO LAYAWAY on Orders; product must be picked up as per store procedures (please refer to reverse side of your invoice for more details). If you are purchasing your gown off the rack then you will need to make your payment in full at the time of your purchase. If you plan to avail of our store’s lay-a-way plan you can discuss this with our consultants. Please pick up your copy of our "DELICATE TIPS BROCHURE" upon the purchase of your gown this will assit you in learning more about the wear and care of your gown.

Policies: There are no refunds or exchanges once your order is placed.

Sizing: Your consultant will measure you; review with you the designer's size chart and assist you in making the decision to where your measurements best fit within this supplier's measurement chart. The final decision on the size that is ordered is for you to make, again, your consultant has experience in this area to guide you in making your decision and we urge you to work with your consultant to pick the best fit for your bodyshape. Keep in mind sizing differs from each supplier and may vary 1-2 sizes up from your regular street clothing size.

Upon Arrival: When your gown arrives your consultant will call you to set up your product arrival fitting. At this time, your dress will be taken home - it's a good idea to plan ahead for the storage of your dress (please remember: there are No LAYAWAYS on orders)
